Preston Lavin, AMFT
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Hi, I’m Preston, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and graduate of the University of Massachusetts. I specialize in helping individuals overcome challenges that disrupt daily life, such as panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and avoidance patterns. These struggles often affect relationships, career, and overall well-being, leaving you feeling stuck or uncertain about how to move forward. My goal is to guide you toward finding relief, building resilience, and restoring balance in your life. In therapy, I use evidence-based approaches like Mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Together, we’ll explore the underlying patterns shaping your emotional responses and develop practical strategies to help you navigate life with greater ease and confidence.
Outside of work, I’m a devoted animal lover and proud pet parent to three rescue dogs who bring joy and energy to my life. My husband and I are passionate travelers, and we make it a goal to explore a new country each year, gaining fresh perspectives and unforgettable memories. I also find peace and inspiration in nature—whether hiking, walking along the beach, or simply being outdoors, these moments help me recharge and stay grounded. If life’s challenges are weighing you down, I’m here to help you create meaningful change. Together, we can work toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.
